This 10-team mock draft was comprised of Fantasy and NFL FanHouse contributors, and took place late last week. Standard scoring format (no PPR) of fleaflicker was used -- as the live draft took place in fleaflicker's really sweet draft room. We went with a 15-man roster because every league in the world has an even number of players on the roster ... we're spitting in their collective faces. Starters? QB, RB, 2 WR, TE, K, D/ST with one flex who can be a RB/WR/TE. Round 1
1. Matt Watson -- LaDanian Tomlinson, RB, Chargers
2. Shane Bacon -- Adrian Peterson, RB, Vikings
3. Sean Lalley -- Steven Jackson, RB, Rams
4. Tosten Burks -- Brian Westbrook, RB, Eagles
5. Matt Snyder -- Joseph Addai, RB, Colts
6. Ryan Wilson -- Frank Gore, RB, Niners
7. Tom Herrera -- Clinton Portis, RB, Redskins
8. The Piler, JM -- Marion Barber, RB, Cowboys
9. Will Brinson -- Marshawn Lynch, RB, Bills
10. Tom Mantzouranis -- Randy Moss, WR, Pats
Well, we heart RBs in round one. It makes sense, since you only have to play one, to garner a studly runner at the top. There are a limited number of sure things. Interesting that Mantz went a Pats WR instead of QB here, but you can't go wrong with any of these first-round choices.
Round 2
1. TM -- Brandon Jacobs, RB, Giants
2. WB -- Tom Brady, QB, Pats
3. JM -- Tony Romo, QB, Cowboys
4. TH -- Jamal Lewis, RB, Browns
5. RW --Peyton Manning, QB, Colts
6. MS -- Reggie Wayne, WR, Colts
7. TB -- Larry Johnson, RB, Chiefs
8. SL -- Terrell Owens, WR, Cowboys
9. SB -- Carson Palmer, QB, Bengals
10. MW -- Maurice Jones-Drew, RB, Jags
Pretty standard round. Can't say I'm a fan of LJ or Jamal, but they aren't awful picks.
Round 3
1. MW -- Braylon Edwards, WR, Browns2. SB -- Larry Fitzgerald, WR, Cardinals
3. SL -- Andre Johnson, WR, Texans
4. TB -- Marques Colston, WR, Saints
5. MS -- Drew Brees, QB, Saints
6. RW -- Steve Smith, WR, Panthers
7. TH -- Laurence Maroney, RB, Pats
8. JM -- Torry Holt, WR, Rams
9. WB -- TJ Houshmandzedah, WR, Bengals
10. TM -- Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Steelers
A fun game: see how fast you can type those last two names consecutively without messing up. Actually, nevermind. It's far from fun. I just had to do it so I figured I would try and make more people suffer as well. Misery loves company, at least that's what Soul Asylum taught me in middle school.
Round 4
1. TM -- Plaxico Burress, WR, Giants
2. WB -- Thomas Jones, RB, Jets
3. JM -- Ryan Grant, RB, Packers
4. TH -- Chad Johnson, WR, Bengals
5. RW -- Earnest Graham, RB, Bucs
6. MS -- Rudi Johnson, RB, Bengals
7. TB -- Anquan Boldin, WR, Cardinals
8. SL -- Michael Turner, RB, Falcons
9. SB -- Willie Parker, RB, Steelers
10. MW -- Darren McFadden, RB, Raiders
Finally some good discussion points. Grant should not be falling this low, and I love the Thomas Jones snag as well. You can tell the draft was over a week ago, because at this point there's no way I'd be taking Rudi Johnson with Willis McGahee still on the board, but them's the breaks. I'm guessing Tom would want another crack at this round as well, with the news on CJ's bum wing.
Round 5
1. MW -- Marvin Harrison, WR, Colts
2. SB -- Calvin Johnson, WR, Lions
3. SL -- Reggie Bush, RB, Saints
4. TB -- Willis McGahee, RB, Ravens
5. MS -- Santonio Holmes, WR, Steelers
6. RW -- Wes Welker, WR, Pats
7. TH -- Donovan McNabb, QB, Eagles
8. JM -- Roy Williams, WR, Lions
9. WB -- Jerricho Cotchery, WR, Jets
10. TM -- Greg Jennings, WR, Packers
Love the Harrison and Johnson pulls right here, but I am surprised they went before Santonio and Welker. McGahee is incredible value right here as well. All in all, this was a great round.
Round 6
1. TM -- LenDale White, RB, Titans2. WB -- Jonathan Stewart, RB, Panthers
3. JM -- Laveranues Coles, WR, Jets
4. TH -- Brandon Marshall, WR, Broncos
5. RW -- Jason Witten, TE, Cowboys
6. MS -- Ronnie Brown, RB, Dolphins
7. TB -- Roddy White, WR, Falcons
8. SL -- Antonio Gates, TE, Chargers
9. SB -- Bernard Berrian, WR, Vikings
10. MW -- Derek Anderson, QB, Browns
Anderson is an absolute steal to round out the 6th round. Brandon Marshall's suspension being reduced to only one game likely made this the pick of the draft. He's third- or fourth-round value currently. And Ronnie Brown just keeps slippin' down draft boards.
Round 7
1. MW -- Edgerrin James, RB, Cards
2. SB -- Chargers D/ST
3. SL -- Jay Cutler, QB, Broncos
4. TB -- Marc Bulger, QB, Rams
5. MS -- Kellen Winslow, TE, Browns
6. RW -- Brett Favre, QB, Jets
7. TH -- Selvin Young, RB, Broncos
8. JM -- Julius Jones, RB, Seahawks
9. WB -- Lee Evans, WR, Bills
10. TM -- Jeremy Shockey, TE, Saints
Surprising to see Favre and Bulger called before Hasselbeck, but the picks aren't bad by any stretch. Selvin Young continues to be a major slipper in light of the stigmatized and mythical "Shanahan hates fantasy football" theory.
By the way, I think 90 percent of Lee Evans' fantasy ownership is between Brinson and I. Just an FYI to those who might, but don't, care.
Round 8
1. TM -- Kevin Smith, RB, Lions
2. WB -- Matt Forte, RB, Bears
3. JM -- Chris Cooley, TE, Redskins
4. TH -- Santana Moss, WR, Jets
5. RW -- Chris Chambers, WR, Chargers
6. MS -- Bears D/ST
7. TB -- Donald Driver, WR, Packers
8. SL -- Ronald Curry, WR, Raiders
9. SB -- Eli Manning, QB, Giants
10. MW -- Dallas Clark, TE, Colts
Way too early on the Bears D/ST. I know that, and I knew it at the time. Sometimes you just gotta represent your boys in light of harsh criticism. Forte and Smith going back-to-back here is a good indicator of how comparable they are. Some might say they are only separated by a coin toss. Still good value in receivers with Chambers, Curry, and Driver ... which is why I thought Mantz should have gone Brady/RB back in Round 1.
Round 9
1. MW -- Hines Ward, WR, Steelers
2. SB -- Dwayne Bowe, WR, Chiefs
3. SL -- Chester Taylor, RB, Vikings
4. TB -- Matt Hasselbeck, QB, Seahawks
5. MS -- David Garrard, QB, Jags
6. RW -- Chris Johnson, RB, Titans
7. TH -- Tony Gonzalez, TE, Chiefs
8. JM -- Anthony Gonzalez, WR, Colts
9. WB -- Philip Rivers, QB, Chargers
10. TM -- Vikings D/ST
Highway robbery to get Hasselbeck in this round. I'm just really bitter that I ended up letting bye weeks talk me out of taking Rivers -- he has the same one as Brees -- because I like him much more than Garrard.
Round 10
1. TM -- DeAngelo Williams, RB, Panthers2. WB -- Fred Taylor, RB, Jags
3. JM -- Jerious Norwood, RB, Falcons
4. TH -- Joey Galloway, WR, Bucs
5. RW -- Donte Stallworth, WR, Browns
6. MS -- Kevin Curtis, WR, Eagles
7. TB -- Justin Fargas, RB, Raiders
8. SL -- Colts D/ST
9. SB -- Rashard Mendenhall, RB, Steelers
10. MW -- Cowboys D/ST
We're getting into the depth range of the draft, so from here on out remember what I once told you ... upside trumps low-ceiling reliablility with bench players.
Round 11
1. MW -- Jake Delhomme, QB, Panthers
2. SB -- Aaron Rodgers, QB, Packers
3. SL -- Jon Kitna, QB, Lions
4. TB -- Felix Jones, RB, Cowboys
5. MS -- Ricky Williams, RB, Dolphins
6. RW -- Ray Rice, RB, Ravens
7. TH -- Nate Burleson, WR, Seahawks
8. JM -- Jags D/ST
9. WB -- Vernon Davis, TE, Niners
10. TM -- Patrick Crayton, WR, Cowboys
LOVE the Ray Rice, Vernon Davis, and Felix Jones picks. Burleson is also quality to start the season, since he'll be the Seahawks' top option.
Round 12
1. TM -- Deuce McAllister, RB, Saints
2. WB -- Kenny Watson, RB, Bengals
3. JM -- Vince Young, QB, Titans
4. TH -- Isaac Bruce, WR, Niners
5. RW -- Steelers D/ST
6. MS -- DeSean Jackson, WR, Eagles
7. TB -- Zach Miller, TE, Raiders
8. SL -- Robert Meachem, WR, Saints
9. SB -- Heath Miller, TE, Steelers
10. MW -- Devin Hester, WR, Bears
You know why fleaflicker's draft room is cool? You can run smack like this exchange, copied and pasted directly from the draft room:
Brinson: i wanted desean jackson for whatever it's worth
Snyder: not much
Some other random, great comments ...
Tosten Burks: I should have taken Aaron Moorehead, screw team defense
Tosten Burks: please draft Mike Cox of Kansas City as Mr. Irrelevant ... just sound it out
Ryan Wilson: Will was trying on the Santa suit for old times sake [not sure if anyone understands that, but trust us, it's funny]
Round 13
1. MW -- Nick Folk, K, Cowboys
2. SB -- Josh Brown, K, Rams
3. SL -- Brandon Jackson, RB, Packers
4. TB -- Chris Brown, RB, Texans
5. MS -- Steve Slaton, RB, Texans
6. RW -- Sidney Rice, WR, Vikings
7. TH -- Matt Schaub, QB, Texans
8. JM -- Owen Daniels, TE, Texans
9. WB -- Seahawks D/ST
10. TM -- Bryant Johnson, WR, Niners
Can't say I'm a fan of the kickers before the last round, but it's their funeral. By the way, Happy Texans Round! Forty percent of the 13th round is sure to put a smile on Gary Kubiak's face.
Round 14
1. TM -- Trent Edwards, QB, Bills2. WB -- DJ Hackett, WR, Panthers
3. JM --Cadillac Williams, RB, Bucs
4. TH -- Packers D/ST
5. RW -- Tony Scheffler, TE, Broncos
6. MS -- Jason Campbell, QB, Redskins
7. TB -- Eagles D/ST
8. SL -- Chris Perry, RB, Bengals
9. SB -- Todd Heap, TE, Ravens
10. MW -- James Hardy, WR, Bills
Caddy's probably a wasted pick, but it can't hurt to gamble this late. James Hardy is incredible value at this point, as is Chris Perry if things continue to shape up in Cincy the way they appear to be.
Round 15
1. MW -- Jacob Hester, RB, Chargers
2. SB -- Ahman Green, RB, Texans
3. SL -- Adam Vinatieri, K, Colts
4. TB -- Shayne Graham, K, Bengals
5. MS -- Nate Kaeding, K, Chargers
6. RW -- Rob Bironas, K, Titans
7. TH -- Neil Rackers, K, Cardinals
8. JM -- Phil Dawson, K, Browns
9. WB -- Stephan Gostkowski, K, Pats
10. TM -- Mason Crosby, K, Packers
Boring, but hey ... when in Rome. Personally I think kickers should be outlawed forever, but you already knew that, right?
Here is a short-hand look at each team's probable best starting lineup:
Matt Watson -- D. Anderson, LDT, MJD, Braylon, Harrison, D. Clark, Cowboys D/ST, and Folk.
Shane Bacon -- C. Palmer, AP, Fast Willie, Fitz, Calvin Johnson, Heath Miller, Chargers D/ST, and Josh Brown.
Sean Lalley -- Cutler, SJax, Turner/Bush, TO, Andre Johnson, Gates, Colts D/ST, and Vinatieri
Tosten Burks -- Bulger/Hasselbeck, Westbrook, LJ, Colston, Boldin, Z. Miller, Eagles D/ST, and Graham.
Matt Snyder -- Brees, Addai, Ronnie Brown, Wayne, Santonio, Winslow, Bears D/ST, and Kaeding
Ryan Wilson -- Peyton, Gore, E. Graham, Steve Smith, Welker, Witten, Steelers D/ST, and Bironas
Tom Herrera -- McNabb, Portis, Jamal Lewis, Chad Johnson, B. Marshall, Gonzalez, Packers D/ST, and Rackers.
Piler -- Romo, Barber, Grant, Holt, Roy Williams, Cooley, Jags D/ST, and Dawson
Will Brinson -- Brady, Lynch, Thomas Jones, Housh, Cotchery, Vernon Davis, Seahawks D/ST, and Gostkowski
Tom Mantz. -- Big Ben, BJacobs, Moss, Plaxico, Jennings, Shockey, Vikings D/ST, and Crosby
So who ya like?

He grabs your attention with Tom Brady not first round choice, trying to make it sound like another QB, maybe even Eli was picked before him. When in fact no QB was picked before him.
