The Major League Baseball season is less than a month away, which means it's fantasy draft season. The next three weeks will house many-a-draft, and we've got your back here at FanHouse. First, check out our Free Fantasy Baseball Draft Kit. If you have any questions or comments, that's cool -- we'll be chatting it up here at 1PM ET. Feel free to ask questions about different formats, tell us why you disagree with some picks, etc. We're open to anything (within reason, of course).
So, once again, Reggie Bush tweaked his knee and Pierre Thomas took full advantage. He exploded for 25+ points in most leagues, and hopefully you had him active. Moving forward, it's pretty obvious that even though the Saints would like to use Bush more, his knee just isn't totally healthy yet. In the meantime, they are finding Thomas can be an every down back in this league.
That's not all we have to discuss today, not in the least. We'll be piggy-backing the NFL FanHouse 1:00 chat and kick off right when it ends -- because we know that you definitely don't want to do any work after lunch on a Friday. No way, not with the fantasy playoff season in high gear and the NFL playoff picture remaining completely out of focus.
Make sure to check out our player rankings and other analysis lower down on the Fantasy FanHouse page, and we'll help fill in any gaps or answer any questions about our top-notch analysis you may have.
It's time to step up your game. Depending on your league's setup, you are either competing in the playoffs or positioning yourself for the playoffs in the last week of your regular season (seriously, like any of our readers would have bad teams).
Hopefully you had Vincent Jackson and Philip Rivers active Thursday night, so you won't have to worry about those spots for today.
Regardless, we have you covered here at FanHouse for any of your needs.
Finally, we can give you that personal touch, here in the chat. We'll get to as many questions as we can, but if you ask something that could not be answered with any of the above links, there's a better chance you'll get through.
Couldn't get enough during the NFL chat? That's fine, we'll keep the party rolling over here in the fantasy section with a discussion of our own. Really, it's just one big NFL chat gala here at FanHouse. We'll kick off right when Ryan Wilson shuts down his NFL chat.
Whether your fantasy playoffs begin this week or next, Week 14 is a pivotal week for you. While we've already hooked you up with some rankings and team-by-team previews of how your players should fare in the playoffs, we're always open to discuss flex position decisions or defend things we've already said.
We can also discuss the epic Raiders/Chargers game from last night and any fantasy fallout. For example, LaDanian Tomlinson is not a definite weekly starter anymore, but Philip Rivers is.
Good morning good folks. Hopefully, everybody is off to a good start this week after the Titans read the Lions the riot act on Turkey Day and Brian Westbrook singlehandedly destroyed some opponents' hopes and dreams. Personally, I was hoping for more out of Anquan Boldin, but everybody has an off day now and again.
Moving forward, we'll be here from 10:30 ET all the way up to kickoff in an attempt to guide your fantasy football teams to victory.
We'll be happy to tackle flex position starts, trade situations, shady commissioner activities -- pretty much anything else under the sun, including unrelated questions about Lost and Heroes, .
Just as we do every week, we'll be sitting here Sunday from 10:30 until the first round of games kick-off at 1:00. C'mon in for your fantasy football questions, and we'll get as many as we can. Here are some resources you can use without having to take part in the chat, should you not be able to make it.
Hopefully you learned your lesson Thursday night to not put all your stock into weather reports. Weather can have an adverse affect on players, but for the most part I'm pretty sure you want to play your studs.
Also, hopefully a large number of you -- though I doubt it -- enjoyed Matt Cassel's output.
Moving forward, we'll be here from 10:30 ET all the way up to kickoff in an attempt to guide your fantasy football teams to victory.
As the fantasy playoff race heats up, the coverage on Fantasy FanHouse ramps up. We've gone through a lot of stuff this week, as the player rankings for the six individual positions preceded this post.
This is not to say you won't be left with questions. What about flex spot starters? Trade advice? Starting to think about keepers, as trading season heats up, for those who are already out of the race?
Also, don't be afraid to ask advice on commissioner decisions ... we've got plenty of experience with running leagues (and dealing with controversy/butt-headed owners).
Nothing fantasy-related is off-limits ... just come check us out at 1:00 today. You know you don't want to work immediately after lunch anyway -- or before lunch in Mountain and Pacific ... if you live in the Central time zone, you can take an early lunch and be back before noon.
Ok, let's get this out of the way. JaMarcus Russell is not going to play this weekend against Carolina. Yeah, I know ... I can hear all the suicidal panic attacks coming from his fantasy owners everywhere. Sometimes you just have to fight through adversity in fantasy-land.
On a serious note, we will be having our weekly Sunday Morning Tailgate this week.
Please feel encouraged to drop on in and bombard our expert panel with questions about your lineup, take part in light-hearted debates, or make fun of over-paid famous people. We're game for anything.
Up to the minute player notes can be found here, and we'll be announcing the inactives who are fantasy relevant around 11:35.
Please join us. We'll publish as many of the fantasy relevant comments as we can and answer as many questions as is humanly possible.
What, that's not a National holiday? Who doesn't love Brady Quinn?
One of my favorite things about hype machines is how much they build as they sit on the shelf. The unknown is always exciting, but in fantasy it should be feared. The only thing worse than the unknown is the inconsistent/unpredictable (hello Kevin Curtis and every kicker).
So am I telling you not to start Quinn this week? I don't know ... I don't know who is on your roster. Maybe you have JaMarcus Russell as your only other option, in which case you should be throwing an epic party to celebrate Brady Quinn Day.
